A word of warning for anyone that is planning to do EFPs from their bank accts via Neteller, I suggest you add a couple more days to however long you thought it might take, or even better, bypass Neteller all together.

I initiated a transfer from my Canadian bank acct to Neteller, at 2AM last Monday Oct 23, and I am still not close to receiving my money. The website says allow 4 to 5 business days. Today is the 5th day, and I have yet to receive it. I was however told that I might get it tomorrow. 6 business days later. This was after being told last Friday afternoon that I would get it no later than today.

Heres hoping that one upside of the ridiculous bill being passed is that with the advent of books issuing credit cards and quicker ways to fund accts, Neteller goes out of business.

A pox on Neteller and all who are employed there.

The website says allow 4-5 business days.........today is the 5th day.

Why are you making such a fuss over this if this is only the 5th day????

Because on the 5th day ( the worst case scenario advertised by them ) I have been told that I will not get it today, and this ahs come after being told that it would arrive no later than today. If on their website it stated " 4 to 5 business days , but we could take longer " then I wouldnt have bothered with making the transaction.

Fishhead, if someone owed you money and told you that you will get it in 4 or 5 days, then you would expect to get it then. Would you not be pissed if they then turned around and said, " no, you'll get it in a couple more days "? Now, put yourself in my shoes and add the fact that firstly, the money came out of your own pocket, and it is your money that they are withholding, and not allowing you access to, and then ask yourself the question you asked me previously.

Sy--Understand your frustrations.

Perhaps you will get the money today..........on the 5th day.

Personally, and this is just me, if they or anybody else told me the money would be in my hands in 4-5 business days.........it would not bother me in the least until the day after the 5th day.

If I put in the request on a MONDAY for instance, I would start to get concerned/upset starting the WEDNESDAY of the following week.

TUE-WED-THUR-FRI-MON(FIVE DAYS).....TUE no money......worry/upset on WED.

Fishhead, ive already spoken to them today, as they are 6 hours or so ahead of us time zonewise, and I have been told that it will not be done today. Hence me being pissed, that at the very earliest it will now be 6 business day, not the 4 to 5 as advertised or as I was told.

Whats even more frustrating is that I dont even want the money any more, but they dont have a cancellation option with EFP's. So I have to sit here and wait for the cash when the opportunity to use it has come and gone. I just want the money now so that they no longer have it.

I dont have any security issues/questions with Neteller, what has annoyed me is not being able to access my money when I was told that I would be able to access it.

my withdrawals in the past have only taken about a day maybe two to get into my account. But my last withdrawal took much longer then that. i am wondering why it has suddenly changed to a longer period of waiting time. after expecting it to be in my account after 1 or 2 days, waiting 5 or more biz days sucks

I think Neteller may have changed banks.. Possibly from a big central bank (I think they were at Barclays/Bank of Scotland) to a smaller island bank somewhere.Transfer times have been up on all transactions, but if this is what they had to do to stay in business, so be it.Sean

Deposits have always been painfully slow-5 full business days for me. For whatever reason, W/D's were always next day. Is this no longer the case?

I put in a EFT from them to my bank account Wednesday morning and am still waiting for it to hit my bank which use to take two days at the most, they do seem to take longer the last few weeks for some reason.

You gotta be carefull in this day and age boyz.

Neteller is doing the best they can. Cool the F out why don't you?

You could try Moneybookers :)pucking: ) instead.

It's a terror filled world we live in. The USA is not the land of the Free anymore since they've become carefull. Maybe they're right (although I doubt it) but in the meantime end around!

i just talked on the phone with neteller and they said that last week they were having delays with w/d's. they said that it wasnt a problem with them but with other banks which they couldnt control. they said that the delay in w/d's is temporary and shouldnt continue.

WHether this is the truth or not who knows. I hope it is.

The delay is how they make their money. They bank 20% more money market profit by holding it for the extra 6th day.

If you want it quicker, pay for it.

Whenever I've done an EFT from Neteller it's always taken from 4 to 5 business days. I iniated one last week, and it took the same amount of time. IMO the beauty of Neteller is that once I have the money in my account, I can distribute to various books within seconds. So if Neteller does close out the US market (and all the warning signs are there) that is what I'm going to miss - the seamless transfer of funds from book to book. Fedex or money orders may actually land in my account a lot sooner than Neteller, but I won't be able to redistribute as quickly as I can now.
